Israel's Ministry of Health released a statement saying it is actively tracking different coronavirus mutations that have recently spread worldwide and may pose a danger to public health.The statement continues noting that a Brazil-based strain has been reported in Japan. This strain has been reported to significantly increase the infection rate.The ministry said it was investigating the effectiveness of existing vaccines against the newly-discovered virus strains. "In light of the discovery of the Brazil strain, and the increasingly high infection rate in the country, the Ministry recommends individuals returning from Brazil to enter isolation at Corona hotels to ensure we make our best effort to prevent the entry and spread of these new Corona mutations into Israel," concluded the statement.
