French elections: Right-wing National Rally takes 34% of vote

<p>As a result of an explosive UAV attack in the northern Golan Heights earlier today, an IDF soldier was severely injured and 17 soldiers were lightly injured.</p><p>The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment. Their families have been notified.</p><p>Over the past few hours, the IAF struck Hezbollah terror targets in southern Lebanon, including a Hezbollah observation post in the area of Markaba and a launcher in the area of Ayta ash Shab from which a projectile was fired today toward northern Israel.</p><p>Additionally, IDF Artillery fired to remove threats in multiple areas in southern Lebanon.</p>

<p>Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently holding a security assessment in the south. Among the issues being discussed are the fighting in the Gaza Strip, with emphasis on the fighting in Rafah, as well as the continuation of military pressure on the Hamas terrorist organization.</p><p>The Defense Minister, the Director of the National Security Council, the Prime Minister's Chief-of-Staff, the IDF Chief-of-Staff, the Head of IDF Southern Command, the Head of IDF Operations, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, the Head of the Air Force, the Head of IDF Ground Forces and additional senior IDF commanders are participating in the discussion.</p>

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara and Minister Orit Strock met with outstanding National-Civic Service volunteers.

The Prime Minister's Office clarified that he will be absent due to the war, just as he did not attend the state events for Israel's Independence Day.
